Bringing the best of the backyard to the restaurant scene
When award winning, celebrity chef Kent Rathbun created the gourmet backyard cuisine concept, some scoffed. Others thought it was crazy enough that it might just work. Well as it turned out, Chef Kent was onto something and his unique concept soon became an award winner too – a Nation’s Restaurant News Hot Concept! award winner.
What exactly is gourmet backyard cuisine? It relies on fresh, seasonal ingredients of the highest quality. It uses recipes that are familiar and loved. It combines the two, elevating both to a level that’s comforting, yet unexpected at the same time. Brunch, lunch and dinner –every meal is simpler than you’d expect from an Iron Chef America winner and better than you’ve ever had in any backyard or restaurant.
Our gourmet twist on the iconic backyard cookout
No one can deny the satisfaction of a perfect cut of prime rib, melt-in-your-mouth ribs and the nostalgic side dishes that we’ve all come expect. But we’re also drawn toward beautiful, upscale spaces. Jasper’s is the best of both worlds, which means never having to choose between the two. And that’s why it works.
Dining is a communal experience. It doesn’t matter if you’re having a career-changing business lunch, a weeknight family dinner, a first date or a private dining event for a few of your closest friends or a large group. The food is a way to impress, but it’s also about making people feel relaxed and comfortable.
Located next to the lake on Bishop Road in the Shops at Legacy, Jasper’s is a welcome breath of fresh cuisine that’s the epitome of subtle sophistication –food, service, drink and style.

Enough about Jasper’s. What do you think?
“The pork belly was cut into 2×2 cubes and crispy on one side, while super tender and juicy on the reverse. They served the belly with sweet potatoes that were fluffy as a down pillow and as creamy as my Momma’s mashed potatoes! And the icing on the potato so-to-speak, was a cherry-chipotle sauce.”
What can I say? Everything was amazing here! The service, the food, the decor. My wife and I went here for New Years and it was the best decision we ever made. The food was superb. I will go back here plenty of times in the future!
